Edmonds Field at Riverside and Broadway, is where the Sacramento Solons played way back when.

Grandma and Grandpa Menebroker (and other members of the family) are bury at Odd Fellows Lawn, just across the street on Riverside Blvd.
In the foreground is the Tower Theater.

I used to go all the time with my dad. But I went for the hot dog and cotton candy. We knew all of the players and one of my friend's dad (Penrose) was one of the Solon's players. Brings back great memories.

Vera (Laura Schroeder's daughter) and her family visited us from Nebraska in the mid 1960's. Some of you may remember their visit. I received word that Les passed away this past week at the age of 73.
